So... I'm rank 3, I created a new PvP character (since I have 2 slots open on a second account)...

Anyway when I go into Zaishen Challenge, and run the challenges with my guild, I don't get ANY faction, I have completed about 10 runs, and stay at the 71 faction I have... my stats say I have spent over 41,000 faction points... but no more are awared... everyone else in my guild seems to be receiving faction from these Challenges except for me...

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

same here, I felt strange that I wasnt winning any more faction, while ppl said they were farming -.-

its not a bug. Once you have completed a certain challenge and gotten faction, thats th eonly time you get faction for it.

In the elites, if you beat up to 5 teams, then next time you get faction on your 6th win if you stop at 5, and so on. Kind of a way to avoid faction exploitation.

Yep, it's to prevent exploiters like Linsys from farming faction. Imagine how easy it would be to bot there otherwise...

It's easy to farm faction on the trial arenas too =O

It would be so stupid if you have people doing the same thing over again and get mass faction. I would quit GW right then and there if Anet lets some crap like that happen

Guess you should quit then, because you can run all the trials over and over again to get mass faction...

Personally I hate PvP... so I don't really care if people get mass faction or not, I'm also not into farming faction I rather farm UW, Tombs, or FoW... I was just playing with the 2 new classes and noticed this issue...

I can't find where another post said it, but you can only get 1000 Faction a day. Just wait till tomorrow.

I don't think thats true, and that would be an insanely low amount (a good HoH run would fly by that). I got about 3k today I believe with the faction wkend going. Unless I went over midnight and really got 2?

Doesn't really seem right and would certainly nip some pvp play in the bud.

There is also currently a bug with gvg, no faction for kills, only for winning the match. GW Support is aware of the issue and hopes to have a fix for it soon.

Do you get faction when you kill the NPCs in Priest Annihilation Training? If so, couldn't you just sit there killing them every 2 minutes getting faction?

Question I'm curious why they didnt do a UAS for the event. as happened in previous betas... otherwise making a Pure assassin has little to no unlocked skills to play with. likewise with rituralist. your limited to the PvP prebuilds with 6-8 unlocked skills. for each combo. and that not too effective. I'd love to see an A/Rt combo with several skills to play with. I only unlocked about 12 skills now with faction. only one was an elite. so its possible with time to unlock it all, but still... it would have been nice...

This may be true, but I just got 3k+ faction yesterday in the competition arenas.

ASFAIK, once you've completed a certain number of the challenges, you won't get any more faction, usually stops after you unlock elite.

that zaishen chalenge is what you get after doing the pvp training arena thing...
(the anhailation training, flag obelisk training, res monk training and kill count training)

i got exactly 1k faction as a ritualist/monk on a free pvp weekend account, then it stopped altogether...took me till today to work out that if they let you have faction past that point, some *greedy

* peeps would just grind the bots on those trials into the dirt....lol, so the other arenas like random ect still give faction?

and heres a snipet.....the ai henches all say :gg to you if you loose lol

Theres a Faction Cap on the battles where you fight the NPCs.

All other arenas should work like they always do. Except a bug where faction was capped in guild battles too - but thats been fixed.
